Texas Holdem School is a rather simple website with a list or poker articles on various subjects listed in the margin of their home page. The grammar isn't the best in the world suggesting that maybe this was the subject of some imperfect translation, but the articles are actually not too bad, covering a range of unrelated but nevertheless relevant subjects, even though they are somewhat general.

Reviews of online card rooms along with poker articles, poker news, poker supplies, slang, bonuses, freerolls, books, definitions and a section on planning a home poker tournament.

Contains a great series of articles on poker strategy, with topics that are relevant but not seen in the usual strategy sites. They start out by focusing heavily on your behavior and your opponents behavior, and what it says about each of you. Continues on to some good discussions on betting strategy, tips and tournament play. Well worth a look.

Very nice archived set of articles by Nic Szeremeta, a former editor of 'Poker Monthly' magazine, and creator of the popular 'Late Night Poker' television series. The site also has some reviews of online poker rooms and links to sites that provide rules of poker and poker accessories.

The site has some brief and general features on strategy, tips, odds, tournaments, rules and history of texas holdem, as well as products like poker tables and books on texas holdem. The strongest feature is the news feed, which has up to the minute news stories related to poker.

Although this site has some other gambling related links, the focus of the articles is on texas holdem, and a series of links to other texas holdem sites is provided. The articles deal with rules of texas holdem and with holdem strategy, paying particular attention to raising (or not raising) pre-flop, and to selecting a game with a limit that matches your skill.

One of a series of well written poker sites by Mike Greenburg, this is the one on texas holdem poker. The articles are very sensibly divided into two categories – Limit holdem and No Limit holdem. As Mike will explain, these two games have very different strategies. For both games, Mike takes you through an introduction, basics and finally betting and strategy advice at each step of the way. He then reviews some of his favorite books, and on this one site only he has a very well tended blog where he gives poker advice.

A free online book about poker strategy is provided on this site – and when we say book, we don't mean pamphlet or tutorial – this is a full blown publication over 180 pages long called 'Advanced Texas Hold'em – A detailed guide for Limit and No Limit Hold'em Poker Strategies. Also on the site are 15 articles in the format of a journal by the author of the site.
